100% agree with this. When I lived in Texas, it was loud modified pickup trucks that sounded like a small airplane taking off. Now that I live in the Bay Area, it’s loud modified Dodge Chargers and muscle cars. But in all cases, it’s always some lame bro behind the wheel desperately craving attention.

I'm on my community board in NYC, and one of our main responsibilities is to weigh in on new liquor licenses for bars/ restaurants and also on license renewals. Those are the issues that we get some of the most public comment about, because neighbors feel like they can do something about it. I wrote a piece on how to influence community boards here. What is a good comeback for someone that says the police have better things to do than enforce noise violations?
Show them that at any given moment, 85% of on duty police officers are just standing or sitting there looking at their phones.
